New Year, New Me

I don’t usually make any new year’s resolutions, and if i do I’m not to serious about them. This is a bad thing for me, because I do best when I have lists to complete and schedules to follow. So this year I’m doing things the right way. I’ve come up with a ton of goals for the new year, here’s a few of them.

GOALS:

1. Sew more. Seeing as I just opened my etsy shop this will definitely be an easy goal to stick to. Though I’m definitely looking to sew more of a variety, and challenge myself. There will be lots of personal projects.
2. 15,000+ steps a day. My fitbit was the most useful gift I received last year, the gift that keeps on giving. All year I’ve been stepping it up to win challenges against friends/family and meet my daily goal in the fitbit app. However there were long periods of time where I slacked and was only getting about 1k steps a day ( yikes, I know). So this year, I not only want to meet my goal everyday I want to exceed it!
I also use Gym pact which is an app that pays you to work out and eat healthy. All I have to do is get to 10k steps every day and I get rewarded with a little bit of cash at the end of the week ( if I fail I get charged, but their staffs pretty understanding). That’s some motivation alright.
3. Drive More. I’m absolutely terrified of driving.  I don’t really go out much and when I do its with family so I have no real reason to  drive and such no experience. So this year I’m going to force myself to drive whenever possible. I’ve actually already started accomplishing this.  I’ve driven to and from my sister house several times this month. I know that seems silly, but it’s a big step for me.
4. Take More Pictures. I really want to improve my photography skills, and get more comfortable with a camera around my neck.
5. Blog more. Last year around this time I was super excited to start my own blog and have my own little corner of the internet. Unfortunately, emotionally I had a super busy year and ended up neglecting it, posting every few months or so (gahh).  I’m looking to be more active and blog every day or every other day.
And some reminders for the new year…
Be positive.
Be calm/relaxed.
Be less critical of myself.
Care less of others opinions.
